MESSOGRAPHY is an anti-specimen book with spreads populated by the words of Jonathan Hoefler, subjected to the abuse from my letterforms. These letterforms were created from random generation with a variety of tools, type weights, and adjectives leading the process. Tools included toilet brushes, mops, sneakers, uncooked pasta and fingerpainting. The goal was to create from pure spontaneity, letting  chance decide the rest. A lot of these letterforms were created on found pieces of Foamcore® of varying sizes as well as 11x17 sheets of paper.
